These are keenly intelligent and active dogs. They have boundless energy and need regular mental/physical stimulation to keep them contented.

Skilled as working breeds. Quick to learn, robust, intelligent and headstrong. Large powerful dogs. Unsuitable for Novice owners. Can be difficult to handle in inexperienced hands.

All hounds were originally bred for hunting. Hence they have a very strong sense of smell and sight. They are very vocal dogs. Also friendly, patient with children, exuberant and dependable. They are built for stamina, therefore some need more exercise than others in the group. Greyhound and Whippets require less exercise.

The main purpose of developing hybrid dogs is for them to inherit the positive traits of both their parent breeds. They are known for their gentle disposition and adaptability. Also popular for their sweet nature. They are very good family companions, very sociable and may experience separation anxiety if left alone for long periods. Also may have minimal to high exercise needs.
